Spooky Snacks and Healthy Halloween Treats

Here's my gluten-free, vegan food for the day...

5:00 AM: warm water with the juice
from half a lemon
I must have caught the "pumpkin bug" that been going around the blog-world because I whipped up a batch of these over the weekend...

5:20 AM Pre-workout snack: "Gluten-Free & Vegan Pumpkin Chia Muffins" from
Hail Merry blog...I added 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
into the recipe because a little chocolate never hurts, right?
What's your favorite pumpkin recipe right now?

Workout: 1 hour of yoga with 10 Minute Solutions: Yoga DVD with Lara Hudson.

7:30 AM Breakfast: Chocolate Ice Cream Smoothie 
I can't go a day without this smoothie!

9:15 AM 1st Morning Snack: 1 Peanut Butter Cookie Larabar

10:15 AM: "Sneaky Spinach Pancakes" with organic maple

12:15 Lunch: "Rainbow Broccoli Skillet"
Fancy dishes aside, this is how I usually rock my lunch
here at school...with some glass containers while working
on my laptop.
2:00 PM 2nd Afternoon Snack
Almond Dream Vanilla Yogurt

2:30 PM: Green juice: 1/3 of a pineapple, 1/2 a lemon,
1 apple, 2 stalks of kale, 2 stalks of celery

4:00 3rd Afternoon Snack: Bowl oVeggie Straws!

5:00 PM Pre-dinner snack:
"Chocolate Vanilla Smoothie": 1/2 cup vanilla
coconut milk, Chocolate Sun Warrior Rice Protein Powder,
1cup of spinach, 1 1/2 frozen bananas, 3 frozen strawberries

Once I got home, it was time to play with Avery. Let's see what her and her Daddy were up to..

"Make note of the ears guys!" 

Swinging in the backyard...on her tummy...with cat ears! Nice! Don't be fooled this is NOT her Halloween costume (you'll see that in a few days!), these are just a fun accessory her Grandma got her that she likes to wear from time to time, for no particular reason. ( :

This kitty, I mean girl, loves her swing!

7:00 PM Dinner: "Veggie Curry Pasta"  from
 Gluten Free Happy Tummy with yellow bell peppers,
carrots, red onion, mushrooms, and an awesome mix of
flavorings with curry powder, turmeric, garlic, cilantro
and more! Yum!
Dessert: 1 more "Gluten-Free & Vegan Pumpkin Chia Muffins" 
from Hail Merry blog...
it's safe to say I definently caught the
"pumpkin bug"! ( :
